International Research Prize: Dr. Till Clausmeyer receives the Karl Kolle Prize 2023

Dr Till Clausmeyer has been involved in research in the field of forming technology for many years.

The Working Group for Forming Technology (AGU) awarded Dr Till Clausmeyer from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering a medal of honour and a grant of 10,000 euros: The senior engineer at the Institute of Forming Technology and Lightweight Construction (IUL), which is headed by Prof. A. Erman Tekkaya, received the Karl Kolle Prize 2023.

The selection committee recognised Dr Clausmeyer's many years of research work in the field of forming technology. Among other things, he worked together with scientists from Asia, Europe and North America at the International Academy of Production Engineering (CIRP). The committee also honoured his commitment to young people and young adults. Together with his family, he volunteered in an organisation that enables international young people to spend time in Germany and German school students to spend time abroad.

The AGU has been awarding the Karl Kolle Prize every three years since 2011, honouring internationally active scientists in the field of metal forming for their particular success. The prize is sponsored by the KARL KOLLE Foundation, which is dedicated to projects in the fields of education and training, science and research and social issues.

About the person

Dr Till Clausmeyer received his doctorate in mechanics from TU Dortmund University in 2016. Since 2020, he has been responsible for coordinating research activities at the IUL as a senior research engineer and heads the Applied Mechanics research area.
